The Great American Steakhouse
The Blue Smoke at Kensington Close Hotel and Spa is a steakhouse restaurant, specializing in USDA certified prime cuts of beef from the American midwest. The relaxing atmosphere is enhanced with music from the legendary Rat Pack members like Frank Sinatra, giving the restaurant a bit of a retro-cool, ‘50s American flair.
The Chef
The executive chef for Blue Smoke at Kensington Close Hotel and Spa is Mr Gabor Merczi, who has formerly worked at some of the best and most exclusive restaurants World wide. This is his first restaurant to open in London and he is keen to show the capital the delights of a good, old fashioned American steak such as Certified Prime Beef Filet Mignon and Blackened Flat Iron Steak.
The Menu
Even if you’re not a fan of steak, there’s plenty of other food on offer. Blue Smoke Restuarant also specialises in seafood, and the freshest ingredients from around the world are used in the dishes. Old favourites like Pan Seared North Alantic Black Pearl Scallops, Pan Roasted Maryland Crab Cake and Grilled Mahi Mahi with a fresh twist on Gabor's menu, as he’ll be combining classic dishes with top ingredients and brand new recipes to create innovative fusion cuisine.

The Hotel manages to be relaxing whilst still right in the middle of it all, thanks to its location just off High Street Kensington as well as a peaceful garden with a tranquil water feature – plus there are all the nearby shops along with Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens to keep you busy. The hotel also has a luxury spa with a gym and heated swimming pool - perfect if you feel like burning off a few extra calories after your meal.
